Public Outreach

Educating the public about the importance of using water wisely is essential to achieving our water conservation goals.  The Sonoma County Water Agency believes that people can change their behavior if provided with accurate and useful information.  That is why SCWA has implemented an annual summer water conservation public outreach and education campaign.  The campaign themes may change each year, but the message remains the same - use water wisely. SCWA communicates its message by placing multimedia advertisements in its service area and by conducting public meetings.  SCWA staff are made available to meet with community groups, neighborhood associations and others about water conservation.  Every drop of water counts, and so does every member of the public who turns our message from concept into reality.
