List Sign-up: River Water QualityThe Sonoma County Water Agency Operations Division maintains five multi-parameter water quality monitoring probes called "sondes" on the Russian River. The sondes are located at Hopland, Diggers Bend, Mirabel, Hacienda and Johnson’s Beach. The sondes take readings of water pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen content (DO), specific conductivity, turbidity, and depth and record the data every 15 minutes. This data is available to the public via an automated email but is provisional data and subject to revision. Emails are sent twice daily for each locations. If you would like to receive the electronic data you may subscribe to the automated system by clicking here. Alternatively, click here to remove yourself from the mailing list. This data provided by the Sonoma County Water Agency is preliminary and is not reviewed in accordance with quality control/quality assurance procedures. Most data relayed by telemetry has received little or no review. Inaccuracies in the data may be present because of instrument malfunctions or physical changes at the measurement site. Data users are cautioned to consider carefully the provisional nature of the information before using it for decisions that concern personal or public safety or the conduct of business that involves substantial monetary or operational consequences. |
