Water Education Program

Water Education ProgramEach year, the Sonoma County Water Agency’s Water Education Program reaches thousands of students with lessons and materials on water conservation and stewardship of our local watersheds.  This comprehensive regional program incorporates teacher workshops, curriculum materials, contests, assemblies, student incentives, classroom presentations, and field trips – all of which are free to schools within our service area in Sonoma and Northern Marin counties in California.  All curricula and instruction offered by the Water Education Program support California Curriculum Frameworks and are aligned with California State Science Standards for grades K – 12.

The Water Education Program is made possible through the Sonoma County Water Agency and the following local water providers: City of Santa Rosa, City of Rohnert Park, City of Cotati, City of Petaluma, City of Sonoma, North Marin Water District, Valley of the Moon Water District and the Town of Windsor.
